WORRIED ABOUT LEAVING YOUR FURRY FRIEND?

Let them stay where they feel safest.

For your cat, home isn’t just a place — it’s their safe territory. And you are part of that feeling of security too. Taking them away from both their familiar surroundings and their favourite person can be a lot to ask.

Cats are creatures of habit. Travelling, unfamiliar smells and sounds, strange surroundings and changes to their routine can all cause unnecessary stress. So why change everything while you’re away?

Same home. Same smells. Same food. Same favourite sleeping spot. Same routine.

The only difference is that Maxi pops in to make sure they’re fed, cared for, played with and given plenty of attention — while they stay exactly where they’re happiest.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Max — The Cat Whisperer

I didn’t plan to become a cat sitter. It just turned out that cats seemed to choose me.

I’ve had a cat of my own for five years, so I know what it takes to look after them properly — feeding them, grooming them, keeping their litter clean, making sure they get plenty of play and, of course, turning on their little “mini motors” when they’re ready to run around the house! But I seem to have a bit of a natural talent when it comes to cats. Even cats I’ve never met before — including some very nervous ones I’ve come across on the street — often seem to trust me surprisingly quickly. I can get close to cats that would normally hide from other people, and I genuinely love finding out what makes each cat tick.

Over time, I started helping other cat owners with their furry family members, whether that meant looking after them while their owners were away or helping with advice on getting shy cats more comfortable and social.

Then, in early February 2026, some friends of my parents brought home two kittens, Enzo and Luigi. They knew from the beginning that buying kittens just before spending almost the whole summer abroad wasn’t the most practical decision — but they had completely fallen in love with the two little furballs. They needed someone they could truly trust to look after them in their own home. So I stepped in.

I visited Enzo and Luigi twice a day throughout the summer, and they became my first paying clients. By the time their owners came home, something quite special had happened: the cats and I had become friends. Their owners were so happy with how I had looked after them that they asked me to keep visiting and playing with them from time to time. They also told me I had helped the cats become more confident and showed them new ways to keep them engaged and entertained.

And that’s how “Max the Cat Whisperer” became a thing.

WHEN YOU LOVE YOUR CATS, TRUST MATTERS

Ask Enzo & Luigi’s humans

“We are so happy with our choice. Max looked after them as if they were his own cats, and when we came home, both Luigi and Enzo were much tamer and more confident. They looked wonderful and healthy, full of life.

We even asked Maxi to keep visiting them and playing with them from time to time, as they had developed such a lovely bond with him. Maxi also taught us how to keep the cats engaged, and he is very creative when it comes to entertaining them.

Maxi really is a cat whisperer — he was born to do this! We are very happy to recommend him to anyone. Feel free to call us for a reference.”

A LITTLE TRICK CATS CAN’T RESIST

Make them curious. Let them pounce.

One of my favourite little tricks is to get a cat interested in something without showing them the whole thing. Slowly wiggle a toy, feather or something they like around the corner of a wall, underneath a table or just out of sight. Let them see only a little bit of it. That tiny movement is often enough to switch their hunting instincts on — and suddenly, they’re completely focused on catching it!

There’s plenty more where that came from.  My blog will soon be full of tips, tricks and useful things I’ve learnt about cats, from keeping them entertained to understanding their behaviour.

FROM OUR FIRST CHAT TO THEIR FIRST VISIT

How I work

01.

LET’S TALK

First, I want to understand you and your cat. Get in touch by phone or email and I’ll call you back so we can have a proper chat. We’ll talk about your cat, your dates, what you need while you’re away and any little details that matter to you. If we both feel it’s a good fit, we arrange a visit to your home.

02.

MEET, PLAN & PREPARE

We’ll meet at your home, go through exactly what you need and agree the arrangements and pricing. I’ll make notes of everything important: where their food and litter are kept, feeding routines, favourite toys and hiding places, medication if needed, plants that need watering and anything else you’d like me to take care of. Most importantly, I get to meet your cat and learn a little about what makes them happy.

03.

CLEAR ARRANGEMENTS,
NO GUESSWORK

Once we’re happy with everything, we put the arrangements in writing and both you and I sign the agreement. With your permission and once everything is agreed, I receive the keys and I’m ready to take over while you’re away. From then on, you’ll receive a daily photo or video update, so you can see how your cats are doing — even when you’re miles away. You enjoy your time away. I’ll take care of the rest.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE THEM BEHIND…

Got questions? I’ve got answers.

Leaving your cat at home can bring a lot of questions. Will they be lonely? Will they have enough attention, food and fresh water? What if they get ill while you’re away?

That’s exactly why I’m here. I don’t just pop in, put food down and leave. I spend time with your cats — playing with them, giving them attention, keeping their litter clean and making sure they have everything they need.

And because every cat and every trip is different, I’m flexible. We can adjust the arrangements to suit you and your cats, and you’ll receive a photo or video update every day while you’re away.

You enjoy your time away. They stay happy at home.

That’s exactly what I’m here for. I’ll follow your cat’s usual routine, make sure they have food and fresh water, keep their litter clean and spend proper time with them. You’ll also receive a photo or video update every day, so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away.
